ToolLott sends the selected file to its own self-hosted processing runtime, where libheif/libde265 decodes the HEIC image. The decoded pixels are then encoded as JPEG using the requested quality setting and returned as a downloadable file.

No external conversion vendor API is used; the file is processed by ToolLott’s self-hosted runtime.
What does JPEG quality 90 mean?
It is the requested JPEG encoding quality setting. Higher values generally retain more visual detail at the cost of larger files.
Will HEIC metadata always be preserved?
No. The conversion focuses on the rendered image and does not promise preservation of every HEIF metadata or auxiliary-image feature.
