Terms of Use
Effective date: 30 August 2026
Acceptance
By using ToolLott, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.
General information only
ToolLott tools and content are provided for general information and convenience. They are not a substitute for qualified professional advice, project-specific design, verification, certification, diagnosis, treatment, regulatory approval or other specialist services.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for checking inputs, assumptions, units, formulas, outputs and suitability before relying on a result. Do not use a ToolLott output as the sole basis for a safety-critical, legal, medical, financial, tax, engineering or compliance decision.
Generated documents and legal tools
Document and legal-language generators are intended to help prepare discussion drafts or starting points. They do not create a lawyer-client relationship, are not legal advice and may require substantial review or modification for the relevant parties, transaction and jurisdiction before use.
AI-dependent features
The current launch-facing catalogue does not activate external model-backed AI generation. If ToolLott later activates a model-backed feature, its processing path, material limitations and relevant privacy information must be disclosed before public use.
Examples
Worked examples may use fictional names, organisations or scenarios solely to demonstrate how a tool works. They do not identify or describe a real person or organisation unless expressly stated.
Availability and accuracy
ToolLott aims to provide useful and reliable tools, but services, content, formulas, rates, assumptions and outputs may contain errors, become outdated or be temporarily unavailable. Important results should be independently checked.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including applicable rights under Australian consumer law and equivalent non-excludable rights in other jurisdictions.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ToolLott is not responsible for loss or damage arising solely from reliance on website content or tool outputs, or from inability to access the website. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, distribute malicious code, infringe the rights of others or use ToolLott unlawfully.
Third-party services and commercial relationships
ToolLott may link to or refer to third-party products, services or information. Third-party terms and privacy practices apply to those services. If ToolLott receives a material benefit, commission, sponsorship or other commercial consideration connected with a recommendation or promotion, the relationship should be disclosed where relevant.
Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the website design, original content and branding are owned by ToolLott. Third-party names and materials remain the property of their respective owners. Approved open-source runtime components are identified on the Open Source & Third-Party Components page with their licences and required notices.
Changes
Tools, content and these terms may change as ToolLott develops. The current version applies from the effective date shown above.
